Welcome to PCM.
RacingLine’s Plug-In Tuning Solution
2.0 TSI EA888.4 / 300-320PS
Continental turbo – higher output
We get it. Not everyone’s ready to tune their car right now. Whether it’s because of warranty concerns, your car is leased, or simply that a 40PS boost is enough for now, our PCM could be your perfect answer!
PCM is RacingLine’s new tuning solution, developed exclusively for these cars such as Golf mk8 R & Audi S3 8Y, Cupra Leon IV 300, Cupra Formentor 310 and more.
PCM stands for ‘Power Control Module’ and is our way of bringing your new MQB ‘EVO’ car to life with more power and torque. Easily installed, and easily removed at any time without a trace. And, each PCM comes with a free upgrade to one of our full calibrations whenever you are ready!

How PCM works.
PCM works on a standalone PCB, which communicates with the factory ECU. Developed by RacingLine’s own in-house calibration experts over the past 12 months, it allows the car to safely increase power and torque levels.
Of course, we know that many customers will want to have a full ECU calibration as soon as it’s available – and who can blame them?
So uniquely, RacingLine will give any PCM customer a free upgrade to our OEM+ calibrations as soon as they are available, whenever you are ready – as long as you purchase your PCM unit from one of our OEM+ dealers.
Let’s talk numbers….
2.0 TSI EA888.4 / 300-320PS
Note – factory power outputs for this engine may vary by model dependant on model. But the RacingLine PCM tuned figures apply to all versions.
Factory Output
235 kW
400 Nm
PCM Output
265 kW
480 Nm
PCM is all about delivering a transformative power & torque gain, but with no mechanical changes needed. And as the ‘area under the curve’ in the dyno graph shows all so clearly, it’s a night and day difference to the drive.

What is PCM?
PCM stands for ‘Power Control Module’ and is our way of adding more power and torque to your MQB EVO car, improving drivability and overall enjoyment out of the newest chassis from VAG.
Although some of these cars can now be calibrated using traditional methods by anyone in the tuning industry, there are many that cannot – meaning that RacingLine’s PCM controller represents a leap forward for these MQB ‘evo’ cars. Power gains of 30-50hp versus the factory outputs have been dyno-proven again and again, with the opportunity for even greater gains if you pair your PCM with RacingLine’s hardware range for the new ‘evo’ platform.
12 months of detailed development and testing in all environments has gone into PCM. It’s easily installed, and removable without trace at any time. As we have developed PCM only for these MQB ‘evo’ cars, the fitting & installation kit has been designed specifically for these cars with the usual RacingLine attention to detail, rather than a generic kit that is held in place with tie-wraps and coiled-up lengths of wiring!
The PCM itself is housed in a stunning billet aluminium case, finned to ensure effective cooling plus a beautiful carbon fibre mounting bracket to locate it securely on top of the battery. The full install kit includes a wiring loom made to the perfect length for the MQB ‘evo’ cars.
Where Can I Buy PCM?
It’s very important to understand that if you ever want to claim your free upgrade to an OEM+ calibration in future, it is essential that you purchase your PCM from one of our OEM+ Approved Software Dealers. Only they will be able to flash your car with its new software, whenever you are ready, and you will have to be able to take your car to them for this install.
So, whilst non-OEM+ dealers can easily supply your PCM unit, they will not be able to activate any future upgrades for you. As long as you are happy with that, there’s no problem sourcing your PCM anywhere!
OEM+ Approved Software Dealers can be found via our link below:
Find a Distributor
With our Dealer Network’s extensive knowledge, they will be happy to support and advise you on anything PCM and hardware related.
How do I know which PCM I need?
For each engine type, there are different engine configurations to select your PCM for:
- 2.0 TSI Petrol Engines: the lower output 245PS engine (with either gen.4 Garrett turbo or gen.3 IS20 turbo), plus the higher output 300-320PS version.
- 2.5 TFSI Petrol Engines: two PCM versions, depending on whether the car has OPF/GPF systems or not.
- Diesel Engines: choose between the 200ps, 150ps or 115ps versions.
- 4.0 TFSI Petrol V8TT
It’s essential to choose the right PCM for your engine. If unsure, please contact us for confirmation.
PCM does not work on any other car or engine types.
Can I install PCM at home?
The PCM unit mounts above the battery using the supplied carbon fibre bracket and hardware. The wiring loom plugs into factory sensors located at the top of the engine.
For peace of mind, your local RacingLine OEM+ dealer can also install PCM for you (labour charges apply).
PCM is completely removable, with no changes required to factory hardware or software. A blanking unit is included to disable PCM calibration without removing hardware.
Do I need to register my new PCM with RacingLine?
Register
Registration activates your PCM’s warranty and upgrade path. Failure to register may invalidate your warranty and eligibility for free future upgrades.
If you provide contact details, we can notify you when OEM+ calibrations become available.
Is PCM removable?
The included blanking unit allows you to disable the PCM calibration via the wiring loom, without uninstalling any hardware.
Can I install RacingLine Hardware with my PCM?
It works great on a stock car, but it will adapt to upgrades like the RacingLine High-Flow Turbo Inlet System and R600 EVO Intake — increasing power by ~15HP in testing.
It also works with other-brand hardware, as long as it’s high quality.
Will PCM affect my manufacturer warranty?
If the dealer sees the PCM installed, they may reject warranty claims on the engine or drivetrain.
However, PCM is fully removable and leaves minimal trace. Nonetheless, it is installed at the customer’s own risk.
I Want to Upgrade to OEM+ Software, What Do I Do?
Only these dealers can flash your ECU. Other RacingLine dealers cannot install the software upgrade.
The ECU on the 2.0 TSI can be tuned now, but the 2.0 TDI and 2.5 TFSI still cannot.
This offer is only valid to original purchasers, and your car must go to the supplying dealer for the install. Proof of sale is required.
*Installation charges may apply.
What if I can’t get to a RacingLine OEM+ Software dealer for my upgrade?
Can I Install PCM ‘on top of’ a tuned ECU Calibration?
We strongly advise against combining PCM with an aftermarket tuned ECU, as this could exceed safe tested engine limits.
Results are not guaranteed if PCM is used on top of an existing tune.
What fuel grade can I use?
However, for maximum performance and long-term engine health, a premium octane fuel is recommended.
