What it does.
The factory intercooler on the Audi RS3 & TTRS has proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air temperatures soar.
- Our massive ‘plate & bar’ Intercooler System uses a stepped core to give a 70% volume increase over the factory cooler – making it one of the best performing intercooler upgrades on offer for the 2.5 TFSI.
- By consistently reducing intake air temperatures (IAT), heat soak is minimised delivering increased performance again and again. No need for the recovery cool-down times needed for the production intercooler.
- Our development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. This has allowed us to achieve increased size without increased lag.
- Fitment is specific for the Audi RS3 8V.2 and 8Y – meaning no cutting or drilling is required to fit, and it’s carefully designed to retain and fit around the car’s original front crash bar. For TTRS, some trimming to the plastic front panel is required.

The massive ‘plate & bar’ intercooler unit features a high-speed stepped core using extra tall internal tubes for maximum boost flow and a 76.8% increase in frontal area.

Highly effective aluminium plate & bar construction, developed following rigorous testing to optimise core dimensions, fin density, and pipe flow providing a 70% volume increase.
FLOWED END TANKS
Cast construction end tanks for minimal turbulence and restriction use internal flow guides to divert airflow up and down across the entire core depth, with 70mm inlet & outlet.
