Intricately machined replacements for the factory stamped-steel tunnel braces, increasing rigidity and exhaust clearance.
What do
they do?
MQB cars rely on thin stamped-steel OE tunnel braces underneath in an attempt to reinforce the body’s weaker points and limit chassis flex under demanding loads.
Our Billet Underbody Braces replace these weak braces with intricately machined aluminium replacements, greatly improving stiffness, increasing exhaust clearance and looking great.
- CNC machined from solid billets of 6061-T6 aluminium, each brace removes unnecessary material whilst increasing rigidity.
- The Rear Tunnel Brace provides extra clearance for large-diameter exhaust systems while maintaining crucial body stiffness.
- Despite adding stiffness, improved dynamic performance comes without sacrificing ride quality or introducing additional noise, vibration or harshness.
- Installation uses existing body mounting points with no drilling or trim removal required, ensuring fitment is completely reversible.
- FWD cars can fit either brace or both; AWD cars can fit the Rear Tunnel Brace only.

For large diameter aftermarket exhausts, there simply isn’t clearance space above the factory tunnel brace. Many owners have no choice but to remove the brace. But the brace is there for a reason. With the extra clearance our Rear Tunnel Brace gives, you can now maintain strength and fit your bigger exhaust.

Precision CNC machined in the UK from a single billet of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy.
Polished, then gloss black anodised.
FEA-developed triangulation design maximises stiffness whilst keeping weight down.
Increased clearance to the exhaust compared with the OE part, allowing larger-diameter aftermarket exhaust installation.
Simple to install. Remove the OEM braces and install the new braces using the existing bolts.
