We have been working flat out over the past two years to develop what we believe to be simply the best ECU Software Upgrades in the VWG market, conceived from a very different approach. By bringing together a full suite of carefully developed software, all matched to work in perfect harmony with our ever-growing range of hardware, we truly believe that RacingLine Performance can offer customers the most complete range of upgrades for their VWG car.

Our new Software Upgrade range is named OEM+. This name reflects the investment that we’ve put in to developing our software in a new way = using OEM calibration techniques to deliver not only great power and beautiful torque increases, but also to uphold our responsibility to preserve the smoothest calibrations, within factory safety levels, whilst keeping economy good. It’s only by reprogramming the very basis of the controller itself that we can achieve the results we get – just as the manufacturers themselves work.

It’s what our engineers have been doing on our race, rally and track cars for the past 20 years, but taking this extensive experience and applying it to road cars.


  • UNIQUE OEM APPROACH – Whereas most aftermarket tuners rely on some degree of trial and error to uplift a few variables in the standard map, our OEM+ approach is to start again from scratch and build each calibration up from there. Only by reprogramming the very basis of the controller itself can we achieve the results we get – just as the manufacturers themselves work.
  • GREAT PERFORMANCE – By starting from scratch for each calibration, OEM+ achieves a very different level of performance. For us, it’s never just about winding up the peak power. We spend much more engineering resource ensuring a rich spread of torque and beautifully smooth delivery whilst always respecting engine protection levels.
  • PEACE OF MIND – Through our manufacturer relationship, we are uniquely positioned to tap into a vast knowledge base and resources network. OEM+ software will never overstress the inherent hardware systems to the point of pushing turbochargers, cooling and other heat sensitive engine components beyond their intended use.

    It’s been 5 years or so since meeting Guy and the team at Harding Performance. From the outset they have instilled confidence with their professional advice and products…and now with my second Golf R having the latest Racingline Performance OEM+ software installed I couldn’t be happier – the power increase is on a par with my previously installed software, however it is smoother and more responsive around town under light acceleration.     Adding the Milltek cast DP and OEM+ stage 2 to my car has completely transformed the car. I thought it was quick before, but this has taken to a whole other level!

    Not only is it brutally fast with insane torque levels, but the car drives much much better around town too. I spend half the day stuck in city traffic, and the car feels much smoother and far more responsive down low. One thing that always annoyed me about the car (both stock and APR stage 1) was the turbo lag, but the DP and new software have MASSIVELY improved it.

    Just thought I’d drop this review on the OEM+ tune which I just switched over from APR.

    I have a GTI mk7 performance using the APR stage 2 on the car, after switching over to the OEM+ it made me realise that it really is a tune for driving, there’s no in your face torque.

    Yes the APR had more power earlier on, but feels like the power dies down after the fat lady sings. When I put that foot down the accelerator, the car flows just the way you want it to, unlike the previous tune where my car stayed at one spot spinning the tyres away.

    Just wanted to let you know the OEM+ Stage 1 tune on my Mk7 GTI is great! Really enjoying the way the car drives. Power is much smoother and keeping traction is much better compared to the other tune.

    I can’t wait to see how the Stage 2 will go!

    Thanks Racingline for getting the OEM+ tune spot on. I’m stage 2 MK7R and converted from APR. The power delivery is very smooth and pulls much harder at top end. The biggest improvement for me personally though is there is no surge/flutter sound under load that I had with APR, obviously much better for turbo!

    Can’t speak Highly enough about the service from Advanced Service Centre Toowoomba and the new OEM+ tuning software! Car feels more refined to drive and is an absolute animal on full noise compared to our previous Apr tune! Feels like a new car!     I recently had my golf GTI MK6 retuned from APR software to the OEM+ stage 1 software with a noticeable difference.

    So finally got rid of my APR tune in favour of RacingLine OEM+. To be honest, didn’t think there would be as big a difference as there is between 2 tunes claiming similar figures.

    Boy was I wrong! Power comes on smooth and strong right from the word “go”, and continues pulling strong all the way through the rev range.

    It’s definitely not as “peaky” as it was, just a real surge of effortless power all the way through. There’s been a huge amount of time and expertise gone into getting this tune just right, and it shows.

    Power delivery is so smooth it feels “factory”, not a tuned hot rod with a certain number as there end goal, just for bragging rights! Driveability still gotta be important and they’ve managed that, and still made the same horsepower!

    Definitely worth the wait! Massive thanks go out to Rod and his team at Advanced Service Centre Toowoomba for all there help and professionalism in taking care of my pride & joy, and to Guy Harding at Harding Performance. No one knows how to get the most out of this platform, or any VAG vehicles for that matter than Guy! Bigger & better things yet to come!
